The Postmaster may store information that you choose to enter into the application, including:

  • correspondence records
  • sender and recipient information
  • contact information
  • matter or file names and numbers
  • follow-up dates
  • correspondence notes
  • template content

Depending on the version of The Postmaster you use, this information may be stored locally in your browser or device. You are responsible for determining whether the information you enter into The Postmaster is appropriate for storage in the application and consistent with your organization’s confidentiality, privacy, security, and technology policies.

Google Workspace Integration

The Postmaster offers optional integration with Google Workspace. Google Workspace access is user-initiated and optional. The Postmaster does not require a Google account for its core correspondence-management functions.

Gmail

If you connect Gmail, The Postmaster may use authorized Google access to send email messages that you explicitly choose to send. The Postmaster does not:

  • scan your Gmail inbox
  • import your email history
  • monitor incoming messages
  • read unrelated Gmail messages
  • automatically detect replies
  • automatically create correspondence records from your Gmail inbox

The Postmaster only performs Gmail actions that you explicitly initiate through the application.

Google Calendar

If you connect Google Calendar, The Postmaster may create calendar events that you explicitly choose to add. These may include:

  • correspondence follow-ups
  • expected response dates
  • records-request follow-ups
  • scheduling reminders
  • other correspondence-related events

The Postmaster does not silently create calendar events by default.

Google User Data

The Postmaster uses Google user data only to provide the Google-connected functionality requested by the user. Google user data is not sold. Google user data is not used for advertising. Google user data is not used to build advertising profiles. Google user data is not transferred to third parties except where necessary to provide functionality requested by the user, comply with applicable law, or protect the security and integrity of the service. The Postmaster’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

OAuth Authorization

The Postmaster uses Google’s OAuth authorization system to connect to supported Google Workspace services. The Postmaster does not request or store your Google password. Google controls the authorization screen and the permissions you approve. You may decline authorization and continue using The Postmaster without Google Workspace features.

Disconnecting Google Workspace

You may disconnect Google Workspace from within The Postmaster where that functionality is available. You may also manage or revoke application access through your Google Account security and permissions settings. Disconnecting Google Workspace does not automatically delete correspondence records that you previously created within The Postmaster.

Local Application Data

The Postmaster may use browser-based storage, including localStorage, to preserve application data and preferences. Browser-based storage may be affected if you:

  • clear browser data
  • use private or incognito browsing

  • remove application storage

Users are encouraged to use available backup/export tools regularly.
